Super cute spot! Just really slow… a girl was on her phone while preparing my order. Waited about 30mins for a mediocre latte that had little flavor.
We had four cookies, but we shared the brownie cookie on the way home… it’s gone! Super elegant latte/coffee and pastry shop. The service is speedy and friendly! They’re a lot of locals that live near by that the staff knew by name. That was very impressive! The nicest part of my entire experience was the environment! We’re all looking for a great vibe, the music wasn’t super loud, the espresso machines weren’t fighting my voice, and most importantly, there was sunlight. Just enough sun to enjoy it, but not enough to make you hot! I stayed for roughly 20 minutes and didn’t smell like coffee when I left. I love the mommy and me area in the back of the store. The kids can play with any of the toys and others can do work and not hear kids in the back. They have really good scented candles as well as bath bombs. Very clean and cool place. 10 out of 10, recommend!
My daughter sent me a reel about The Hive!
So excited to try their cinnamon rolls!!
I had the honor of being the first person in line!!
I arrived at 7:14am and The Hive opened at 8am.
Shortly thereafter more people arrived and as shown on the reel the line was long.
I enjoyed a latte to go and purchased my "allowed" 4 cinnamon rolls!
Family and I enjoyed the rolls! Worth waiting in line!
Suggestion! The first person in line should be able to purchase a bonus roll to enjoy with their coffee at The Hive!
And I absolutely love their philosophy, as posted on their door:

Metered street parking!
Finally tried the famed weekend cinnamon rolls after 18 months of living in Hoboken. It did not disappoint - soft, fluffy and warm with plenty of cream cheese frosting. I arrived around 7:40 and was about the tenth person in line, probably had my cinnamon roll in hand by 8:15. In addition to the rolls, there are plenty of other enticing baked goods and unique drink offerings. One cinnamon roll is $8..
Decided to wake up early on a Saturday to meet my friend at The Hive as we heard their cinnamon buns are amazing!
Lines start forming outside at 7:30am and they open at 8am. Since it was snowing outside not many people showed up which was a plus for us. We waited around 20+ minutes on line inside and was enjoying our cinnamon buns by 8:30am.
The inside is super cute, inviting colors. Pastels, pinks, whites. There is a play area where you can bring the kiddos and a stroller area outside. Super convenient! There are chairs and tables inside and outside. They also sell candles, snacks and merch.
I ordered the lucky charms matcha along with four cinnamon buns (four is the limit per person). I also grabbed a lucky charms rice crispy. My friend ordered the chocolate covered strawberry latte which seemed like a customer favorite! My total was $48 which is crazyyyyyy for four cinnamon buns, a matcha and a rice crispy but hey... I'm here for a good time :)
The matcha with the lucky charms was good but I wish I tasted more of the lucky charms. The cinnamon buns were gooey, warm and delicious! My bf said they're better than Cinnabon haha!
All in all, it was a morning well spent especially since I found parking right on the block.
FYI - cinnamon buns are only sold on Saturdays & Sundays and usually sell out by 9am or 9:30am.
We came really early to get the cinnies and they were so worth it they are absolutely bomb!!!
Also Loved the vibe and atmosphere 🤍🎀
Such a great place to bring your toddler and get a cup of coffee at the same time. They have a great selection of baked goods and the coffee is always on point. Our daughter loves to come here and play in their play space and it's a great place to meet other parents too. Can easily spend a few hours on the weekend here and it's enjoyable for the whole family.
My favorite small business/business in general! It’s such a happy place-from the menu, to the decor, to the people behind the counter…there’s a reason why I would frequent The Hive almost daily when I lived in Hoboken, and why I still make the trek from the suburbs to visit (and pick up a stash of their house made cookies to freeze at home) after moving over a year ago.
If you’re looking for great coffee and great vibes, look no further.
